Even though the console and the arcade version are two different games, they where both good games. MJ was a god-damn hero back then too, with a fanbase featuring most people in the western world. Though I never played them, I consider it very close to the mutant league games. Not terribly great, but not that terrible at least for me as a kid. It was a gift, so I would have never purchased it...but I still enjoyed it more than a lot of other games I had at the time. Basically it's a top-down basketball game with randomly occuring mines, enemyseeking saw blades, and powerups. Actually it’s not that terrible, and there weren’t any robots – just other players. Though I never played them, I consider it very close to the mutant league games. It's actually a really good, fun side-scroller for Genesis (hey, we didn't know about the Jesus Juice or any of that creepy shit back then, so we could just enjoy the simple pleasure of killing criminals with awesome dance moves and crotch-grabbing).
